This weekend, there are no limits on attendance. We are delighted that the option to gather as an entire family is now restored. Registration beforehand is no longer required as well.
We are baptizing several people this week. Baptism is a connection all the way back to John the Baptist and the early church. I am delighted that in the midst of all the strangeness of this season, people are still following Jesus and publicly proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus in their lives. YES!!! It’s not too late to sign up. Repent, confess and be baptized. Reach out to me if you’d like to publicly declare your faith in Jesus through adult baptism.
I am deeply saddened by the situation in Ukraine. We are encouraging you to prepare an offering to give through ERDO, one of the trusted arms of our movement to make contributions that we know will end up in the right place. As we begin the season of lent today, we morning with those who mourn.
Communion will also be served this Sunday.
Invite a friend to lunch
This weekend, we truly want to encourage those who call Lakeshore home to invite others to eat with them. Some restaurants still have limits, others don’t, but there are no limits on home gatherings. Let us encourage each other and “break bread together.”
A few years ago, I wrote a small book with 40 life lessons I had learned before I turned 40. I have a number of copies left, so we will be giving those away this Sunday for the first people to arrive. If you’d rather have a digital copy, let me know, I can provide the PDF.
I look forward to seeing many of you this Sunday. We have exciting days ahead. I also understand that some are not comfortable yet, and we respect that as well. We will continue our online broadcasts and serving you in that way.
No Thursday night study this week
My kids are on release and I’ve got make up sports games. Life is returning to normal.
May you be filled with the Holy Spirit this week in your everyday tasks!
You are loved.
Interim Lead pastor.
