UPDATE 4
What amazing fall weather God has gifted us with this year! Linda and I worked today to prepare and organize the set up to pack arts and craft kits this Saturday morning, October 18. I will be at the church at 9:30 AM and hope to see any of you who are available. It should not take long to make up 100 or so kits for the 5–9-year-olds.
Future needs:
- Thankfully, God has brought us this far but I want to let you know what is still required:
- Sunday, Oct. 26, we will set up tables for the packing event after church. Meet me in the basement.
- Monday, Oct. 27, 10 AM. Help is needed to fold the 500 shoeboxes. June and Bruce have volunteered to help. We could definitely use more help. Let me know if you can join in.
- Thursday, Oct. 30, 9:30 AM and 7:00 PM, we will load the tables with the gifts for each of the age groups. This is quite a job so please consider coming for whatever time you are available to help out.
- Please bring any supplies you have made or purchased to the church this Sunday or the next.
- We will need everything in to the church by Oct. 30.
And the grand finale:
- Nov .1, 9:30 AM, we are packing 500 shoeboxes with gifts for these precious children. All are welcome. Invite a friend or two.
- We will require funding to cover the transportation costs. The cost is $12 per box. We will announce this at church.
Please pray that all will go well over the next few weeks, that each box will be filled with God’s love and that each child will experience His love in a powerful, life changing way.
