UPDATE 3

God changes lives!
And He is using Operation Christmas Child to do just that!

For the past 10 years we have, together, as a church, packed shoe boxes with gifts for children in various countries. Some of these children may never receive another gift in their lives
We fill these boxes with school supplies, clothing, toys and most importantly God’s love. Each child who receives a shoe box has the opportunity to attend a 12-week program called the Greatest Journey where they learn about Jesus and may make a decision to follow Him. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the project leader Audrey at [email protected]

Thank you to all who have shopped for the supplies to fill the pencil cases.

  • Based on the information I received from everyone, I believe we are all set to fill 500 pencil cases. If you have purchased supplies, please bring these to the church or my place or I can pick up if that would be better for you. Jane and her team will begin to fill the pencil cases soon.
  • We had a donation of coloring sheets that we will use for the 2 – 4-year-old children.
  • We have all the wax crayons we will need this year.
  • As well donations of Stickers, Barbie and baby dolls were received.
  • We received a donation of 14 little girl T-shirts from Karen W. I was able to get skipping ropes and some balls at summer liquidation sales this week.

Future needs:

  1. Balls for all age groups.
  2. Stuffed animals.
  3. Toys that will fit in a shoebox.
  4. Girls T-shirts size 4 or 5. Shirley sewed 172 skirts for girls this age.
  5. Toothbrushes: please ask your dentist for a donation.
  6. Soccer balls with a pump.

Gifts can be taken out of the packaging. No soap, liquids, glass, war toys or candy.

If you cannot shop, let me know and I will shop for you.

Please continue to pray that we will be led by the Spirit and that God will continue to provide.
